Excess Protection (EP) is an optional cover that reduces the applicable excess deductible amount to zero for all vehicles. The excess for Elite Electric vehicles can be reduced to EUR 1000. If the EP is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase.

Before purchasing an EP, it is recommended that you determine whether personal coverage is sufficient to cover damage, theft, loss of income, administrative charges, diminution in value and any towing, storage or impoundment charges. If the EP is rejected, the renter will have to pay these costs up to the excess amount of the damage waiver and seek reimbursement through their personal insurance company. EP is not insurance.

If the renter does not choose to purchase additional fuel at the beginning of the rental period and does not return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as at the beginning of the rental period (as stated in the Rental Agreement), the renter will have to pay a fuel service fee calculated as the difference between the fuel levels recorded on the Rental Agreement and those recorded after returning the vehicle multiplied by the fuel price displayed at the branch. Unused or excess fuel will not be refunded.

If the vehicle is an electric vehicle and is returned at a lower charge than that given at the beginning of the Rental Period (at the level specified in the Rental Agreement Summary), the recharge fee is calculated as the kWh required to charge the vehicle at the difference between the levels of charges recorded in the Rental Agreement Summary and those recorded upon return of the vehicle multiplied by the kWh rate shown in the Rental Agreement Summary plus an additional charge as specified in the Rental Agreement Summary. Any unused or excess compensation will not be refunded.

The coverage provided by the PEC may duplicate your existing coverage and you may want to determine if your personal coverage is sufficient.
The PEC insurance cover cannot exceed 50 days and/or the total amount of 200 euros, which is charged regardless of the length of the rental period and is subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and the PEC policy .
